We (Hongkonger in Deutschland e.V., Hong Kong Watch, Freiheit f\u00fcr Hongkong e.V.) made a submission to the United Nations (UN) Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the People\u2019s Republic of China (PRC) in the Fourth Cycle. Our submission primarily focuses on the HKSAR’s alarming infringements on the rights and freedoms of activists in Germany. Our demands are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Repeal the NSL and refrain from applying it in the meantime;<\/li>\n
  2. Comply with international legal obligations including but not limited to the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, and the Convention of the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women;<\/li>\n
  3. Implement the recommendations by the Human Rights Committee in 2022, and the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Committee on Women\u2019s Rights in 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
